About Us
Vet Gold is a family-owned business based in Brisbane Australia, managed by Dr Andrew and Melissa Watts.
Andrew graduated from University of Qld in 1990 built his first practice - North Coast Equine Veterinary Services - at Corbould Park in Queensland, whilst holding the role of the Sunshine Coast Turf Club Head Veterinary Surgeon.
In 1998, Andrew moved to Oman to take up the position of Chief Equine Veterinary Surgeon of The Royal Stables.
In 2000 he was invited to join Dubai Equine Hospital as a Senior Associate and became Head Veterinary Surgeon for the Crown Prince H. H. Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum until 2010.
Andrew then spent 2 yrs in Bahrain as Chief Specialist Veterinary Surgeon for the Royal Stables before returning to Australia and joining Provet Pty Ltd.

In 2012, Andrew sat on the Provet Executive Board and the Provet Advisory Executive Board as the General Manager of Export, Corporate Brand and Exclusive portfolios successfully while continuing his MBA.
In 2016 Andrew returned to Dubai for Equine and Camelid consultancy for The Crown Prince of Dubai HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Andrew moved back from Dubai in 2017, invented and developed the HOOF GOLD, BONE GOLD and COAT GOLD nutraceutical product range. He is currently working as the senior Veterinary Surgeon for AQUIS Farm and with Farriers/Vets in Brisbane at the Equine Podiatry Facility Pullenvale.
Following the success of HOOF GOLDTM and increasing demand from Veterinarians, Farriers and clients we embarked on producing our next generation of formulas - BONE GOLDTM and COAT GOLDTM in both the Equine and Canine presentations. Both of these new products have been produced with the same attention to detail with the highest quality pharmaceutical grade ingredients manufactured in an APVMA CLASS 2 registered and certified Laboratory.
We are now proud to announce the release of our latest formulation TOTAL GOLDTM
The new product is our most advanced to date and has been developed to encompass all your horses needs including Hoof, Coat, Bone and Vitamin and Mineral requirements even when extremely debilitated.
For you and your horse, the Vet Gold culture remains to provide a commitment to extensive research and development in conjunction with clinical testing and observation by Veterinary Surgeons on clinical equine and canine cases with increasing Welfare remaining our primary goal.
